Our Community Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to connecting generous people with meaningful causes in Daviess County, Indiana. We serve as a permanent community resource — a place where donors, nonprofits, and community members come together to build a stronger Daviess County, today and forever.
Founded in 2021, we are an independent community foundation governed entirely by local people who live and work in the communities we serve. Local people, local decisions — that’s what makes us different.

We manage charitable funds on behalf of donors, award grants to local nonprofits and educators, and provide a trusted vehicle for permanent community investment. Whether you want to give, apply for funding, or learn more about our community, we’re here to help.
Our grant programs support a wide range of community needs — from classroom innovation to housing stability to youth programs. Every dollar we award stays in Daviess County.
The people closest to the challenges should be making the decisions. Our board is made up entirely of Daviess County residents representing all five communities.
Community foundations are built to last. The funds we manage are permanent, they will continue to generate grants for generations to come.
We hold the GuideStar Platinum Seal of Transparency and meet the National Standards for U.S. Community Foundations. Our financials are public upon request.
